Shoulder Pain
"Are You Suffering From Irritating Shoulder Pain? Have You Tried Everything To Fix It, But Feel Let Down?”
If you’ve got shoulder pain, including possible rotator cuff issues - it's very tempting to think that it's nothing, that it will go away on it's own. Or, you pass it off as having just "I just moved my arm awkwardly", or that it's just a "muscle spasm" or a bit of stiffness that everyone goes through from time to time...
There's sometimes no obvious reason why it happened, but it doesn't seem to be going away! Other times, you may have had some trauma to the area and know why it came on in the first place.
If this is happening to you, you're not alone. We hear this type of thing all the time! And when it comes to shoulder pain, everyone we see wants to know:
"Whats going on with my shoulder?"
or
“Why am I still suffering with shoulder pain after putting up with it for so long?”...
or
“Can I still pick up my kids, go to the gym, ski, run, hike?”
Because you have likely had many non-serious injuries in the past that have gone away on their own most people think that this time will be no different. But the fact that your reading this says that this time there IS something different. Unfortunately the pain has stuck around and in many cases may be even worse than when it started.
Does This Sound Like You?
Another scenario we see all the time in our physical therapy clinic is when people go to their doctor, and the doctor tells them to rest, ”try these painkillers”, REST, and even told they will need to "get an MRI.”
This is rarely ever the best advice and often 6 weeks later, they end up going back to the doctor again because it hasn't gotten any better and told they have some scary findings - rotator cuff tear, inflammation, tendonitis, “bone spurs” … which may in return actually be NORMAL FINDINGS on their MRI for someone their age that was probably there all this time before pain even started! Research shows that MRI’s CAN’T tell WHY your shoulder pain is happening.
Worse, they're often given yet another prescription of even stronger pills, and advised MORE rest or an injection as their only options. This is madness and explains why so many people are continuing to suffer from chronic shoulder pain.
Has This Type of Thing Happened to You?
Well, it's easy to get confused because you've been told different things by different people. There's lots of people out there who are happy to dispense advice - but not all of it is credible.
Maybe you think your shoulder pain was caused by doing something - like moving your arm wrong or sleeping awkwardly on your shoulder. Most of the time, when shoulder pain comes on without a specific reason (no accidents or trauma) - it was likely caused by years and years of accumulated poor posture, poor mechanics that caused the muscles in your shoulder to become weak and now the compound effect of the awkward sleeping and moving your arm was just the TIPPING POINT of exposing your shoulder issues.
If you don't know what you're doing - shoulder pain can be very confusing and because of this, many people just end up accepting it as "part of life" - as if it's normal, and "just the way it is now” and my only option is surgery.

“I could finally find positions that I could sleep in and you know, I could feel my body getting stronger. And so, I knew the path that I was on was the right path to healing. So, it’s been a miracle! I'm not afraid to do things anymore. I mean, I'm not going to go out and lift 300 lb. weights but it's okay to bring in a bag of groceries. I go out and do a little bit of yard work, dig in the dirt, which is where my soul is, and know that I won't have a night of hell after. If you don't know where to turn and don't know what to do next, do you have nothing to lose to step into this, to step into The Physio Revolution.”

“I have had shoulder issues for a long time with the intensity of the pain just recently going to 11/10. I've been to other therapists and they did a fine job making the pain go away temporarily, but it always came back. I was skeptical about going toTPR, I mean what could they do that the others couldn't? FIX ME! That's what they can do!!! They took the time to get to the root of the problem and helped me build from the bottom up while getting rid of some bad habits I formed (double thanks for that). Thanks to The Physio Revolution for helping me believe that I am not broken and do not have to live in pain forever.”
