About Dr. Brian Zuleger, PhD - Owner of Arete Performance:

Brian’s philosophy for performance centers around the idea that we are all performers in life. He has a holistic philosophy in performance training that looks at the individual as a person first and an athlete/performer second. He uses a "build it" model as opposed to a "fix it" model. Traditionally sport psychology has been viewed as a "fix it" model. The athlete or coach comes seeking guidance only when there is a problem. A key aspect of this is meeting people where they are and building from there. Brian's philosophy is that everyone can benefit from mental strength training regardless of ability or level of competition. Brian has developed a mental strength model for athletic performance that he uses when coaching and teaching the mental dynamics of athletic performance.
